THE BMW IX3 SUV 2026

 price :- $60,000

Overview

BMW's i electric sub-brand will soon expand to include the 2026 iX3 SUV, and it'll ride on the company's new EV platform previewed by the Vision Neue Klasse X concept. We expect single- and dual-motor powertrains, a big battery, fast charging times, and a driving range estimate of over 300 miles per charge. Little is known about the 2026 iX3 except that it will be one of six models BMW plans for the new platform—including an i3 sedan that will serve as an electric version of the next-generation 3-series sedan. The concept shows some out-there futuristic styling that indicates that the iX3 EV will look totally different from the gas X3. We also expect to see next-level infotainment and driver-assistance features, as well as luxury amenities that seal its place in the automaker's lineup of premium SUVs. We also are hoping for major driver satisfaction in the form of quick acceleration and engaging handling. When we find out more about the 2026 iX3, we'll update this story with details.

Range, Charging, and Battery Life

Neither BMW nor the EPA has weighed in on the iX3's estimated range yet—it's far too early for that—but we know that the Neue Klasse platform will use an 800-volt electrical architecture and batteries with up to 20 percent higher energy density compared to what's in production now. We think that should easily push the iX3's range to more than 300 miles per charge, but we'll have to wait for the official figures to know for sure, and we'll report them here.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

If the concept vehicle is anything to go by, the iX3's interior will feature sustainable materials and an airy passenger compartment with adequate space for four adults. The concept vehicle features a large panoramic glass roof which adds to the open feeling inside. Ambient lighting, some of it cleverly integrated into textile trim pieces, helps illuminate the cabin. The concept vehicle was shown in a lovely two-tone red-and-white interior scheme with what looks like a velour-like upholstery on the tops of the seats.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The Vision Neue Klasse X concept vehicle gives us our first look at what the production iX3's infotainment system will be like. A uniquely shaped central infotainment touchscreen provides the driver and front passenger access to the SUV's software systems. A narrow, ribbon-like display spanning the width of the windshield at the forwardmost edge of the dashboard helps make the information more easily readable at a glance without taking your eyes off the road. BMW says the system features an advanced voice assistant and a 3D head-up display, too.
